Physical Therapy – Monterey, CA

HOW IS KADALYST WELLNESS AND PHYSICAL THERAPY DIFFERENT?

You won’t be passed off to an aide. You won’t feel like you’re on an assembly line of patients. You WILL know the exact steps it will take to get you back to 100%. You will receive 1-on-1 personalized care by our licensed professionals who are and have been athletes for a majority of their life. You’ll learn long term strategies to not only improve your life and achieve each of your goals, but also that of your families and friends. And… most importantly no gimmicks or BS. We REALLY strive to be at the cutting edge of the research and will likely talk with you about recent research we’ve been reading and how to get you the best results possible. This is part of the reason I (Dr. Nate) started this business, to cut through the minutia and get down to what really matters and what really works. Read more about me here!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSIONS AT KADALYST WELLNESS AND PHYSICAL THERAPY?

A rehab and personal training blend focused on reducing your pain, increasing your strength, and preventing future injury, all done by a physical therapist who just so happens to be a personal trainer, powerlifter, and former collegiate athlete. If you’re worried about making things worse but want to work with someone who understands how to manage and improve your pain while simultaneously making you significantly stronger, you’re in the right place. Get to know more about us, here! AND… if you want to see what I (Dr. Nate) sound like and if you like my “vibe,” check out some videos and articles on the blog for a sneak peak into my brain! I promise I won’t bite.

WHAT TYPES OF INJURIES AND PAIN DO YOU TREAT?

We work with athletes, youth athletes, and active adults, all of whom could be dealing with back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, knee pain, difficulty squatting, deadlifting, balancing, surfing, hiking, biking, and who are worried about their pain getting worse or are fearful of reinjury who want to take their performance to the next level. We don’t hope to just work with you once your pain has gone away but after, too, to help optimize your training program and improve your overall performance levels for the long term.

At the end of your time working with us, you’ll understand how to manage and understand your pain, how resilient your body is, how to work on building self-efficacy and self determination, the essentials of strength training, the importance of sleep, rest and recovery, what a well balance nutrition plan looks like, and how to foster healthy relationships. That’s what we do.

With us, you’ll receive one on one performance based rehab and training with your doctor of physical therapy. You won’t be passed on to an aide and you can rest assured that the rehabilitation programs you receive are not only evidence based, but tailored directly to your primary goals.

We are different, no seriously, you won’t find anyone like us on the Monterey Peninsula.

Since we have a background in strength and conditioning, currently compete in powerlifting, played collegiate football and baseball and are consistently keeping up with the research, you can expect your sessions and training programs to be driven by methods that actual work and have the data to back it up.

We gather all the facts with what led to and caused the pain you are having, develop what the steps are to correct it, including a detailed and personalized plan and then together, we complete the plan.

Whether you are an adult or youth athlete, or an active adult dealing with back pain due to a herniated disc or generalized sciatica, shoulder pain due to a rotator cuff tear or recovering from surgery, or with knee pain due to osteoarthritis or tendinitis, we can help you. Our treatment plans also include accountability and personalized guidance along the road to recovery where you will have access to us not only during the session, but also after hours through text and email. Our goal is to help you reach your peak performance physically, and mentally.

You won’t be treated like a number on a conveyer belt, but an actual person, a friend, and a part of the team. Together, we’ll tackle whatever issues you’re having in a safe, effective, wholistic manner. Most importantly, at Kadalyst, we believe in shared decision making. Your input and effort during the rehab process is equally as important as our evaluation, plan, and coaching.
